This intermediate course helps students read, write, listen, and speak effectively through five course elements: grammar and mechanics, literature, composition, poetry recitation, and vocabulary. The course develops grammar skills through the classification of sentences. Essay writing is presented and developed, and public speaking is introduced through the recitation of classical poetry.

This course introduces advanced grammar skills such as identifying adjectival and adverbial clauses and encourages students to find their voice in writing expository, persuasive, and analytical essays. The course develops public speaking skills through recitations of classical poetry. 

This advanced course helps students read, write, listen, and speak effectively through five course elements: grammar and mechanics, literature, composition, poetry, and vocabulary. Students master advanced grammar skills such as complex sentences and clauses, and students analyze classical literature, present effective and convincing written arguments, as well as develop public-speaking skills through the recitation of classical poetry.
