Steps to Enter Grades 10th – 12th
Step 1: Submit an application for admission
When: Applications for transfer admission are received on an on-going basis
All students seeking transfer admission to The Atonement Academy must complete an application for admission [Apply Now]. A completed application includes the admission application form, transcript/report of high school coursework completed and in progress, one (1) letter of recommendation from an adult who knows the student in the academic setting, and, when available, results of recently completed standardized testing.
Step 2: Take the Admission/Placement Test
When: Admission/Placement tests are scheduled when the availability of a position may be imminent.
All candidates seeking admission should take the Admission/Placement test. Candidates who submit a completed application for admission are required to make an appointment for the Admission/Placement Test with the Director of Admissions, Mrs. Janet Mefrige, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 3: Take a tour and be interviewed by The Atonement Academy staff
When: Tours and interviews are scheduled when the transcripts and current grade reports have been received.
All candidates seeking admission should tour the school and meet with a member of The Academy staff. Interviews are scheduled by the Director of Admissions upon receipt of a completed application for admission (including transcripts) and after the completion of the Admission/Placement Test. Interviews are generally brief (10 to 15 minutes) and are a means of gaining more information about the candidate and discussing the graduation plan with the student.
Step 4: Receive decision
When: Decisions are rendered on a rolling basis.
Each candidate for admission will receive a correspondence from the Director of Admissions advising the status as positions become available.
